I am a former DBS music undergraduate Electronic Music Production student and have just finished the third and final year. My final submissions are yet to be marked but the expected grade is a 1st class honours. I have always been passionate about music production and am comfortable using many DAWs and softwares, Particularly focussing my skill set to both Ableton and Touchdesigner. I am comfortable in producing music and have good knowledge in both music theory and composition.
Over the past year, alongside completing my degree, I have been carrying out freelance audio visual work created mainly on Touchdesigner. This has included making music videos for artists, creating promotional material for artists and creating promotional content for brands and products. Due to this freelance work I have gained experience within many different fields. I have good experience with video editing due to post processing having to be done on both Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects when creating audio visual content. I have prior knowledge of website building and management having created a website which allows clients to contact me as well as view my portfolio. I have managed my own social media accounts to showcase and advertise my work. In previous work volunteering as a studio producer for Noods Radio I have managed the uploads of both instagram posts relating to the radio’s schedule and uploaded edited and recorded shows to a number of different streaming platforms. I have previously created and held an audio visual art installation at the Bristol Beacon displaying an interactive artwork that is affected by the movement of participants viewing the piece.
My other current work is as a freelance music software marketing assistant for Egg Audio.Throughout this work my tasks include formatting documents, submitting form entries to online CMS systems, updating spreadsheets, in creating music, testing software, editing videos and podcasts, etc. The main job throughout this role is updating blog posts for clients such as Loopmasters, Loopcloud and Waves as well as using after effects to edit and help to create videos for clients. Some previous clients Egg Audio has worked with include Plugin Boutique, Waves, Eventide, Rhodes, Beatport, Sonible and Native Instruments as well as have articles published in Sound on Sound, Forbes, Pitchfork, T3 and Engadget among others.
