I am an aspiring international journalist passionate about starting my career in Bristol’s dynamic media landscape. My journey began with a range of hands-on experiences, from contributing as a writer during my Wales Online week placement, where I gained valuable insights into content editing and story commissioning, to working as a reporter for InterCardiff, where I developed and tested editorial strategies to engage diverse audiences.
In my role as Social Media Marketing Manager for Mason Cable Network, I successfully boosted engagement across all platforms by 40%, which led to being shortlisted for Social Media Manager of the Year in 2022. My time as an editor and reporter for the Fourth Estate Newspaper honed my editorial leadership and storytelling skills, managing writers and producing impactful stories, including exclusive coverage of high-profile events. Additionally, my work with Voice of America, reporting on press freedom issues, deepened my commitment to journalism’s role in society.
