We primarily use WordPress, which we enhance with our own boilerplate and extensions to create a superior platform, optimised for B2B marketing.
About the role
We’re looking for a WordPress Developer who will work directly with our Operations and Technical Directors to deliver code that is maintainable, readable and high quality.
You’ll be someone with high business intelligence; able to see beyond code, flexible to change and improvements, while process orientated and focussed on best practice.
Minimum requirements
- Demonstrable experience developing WordPress websites using ACF and Gutenberg blocks.
- Expert competency with PHP, HTML, CSS and SCSS.
- Solid knowledge and experience with modern JavaScript, including ES6, Node.
- Expert competency and experience using Vue JS.
- A good awareness of technical SEO and the approach to creating performant websites.
- Experience with consuming and using REST APIs.
- High competency with Git.
- Experience using SQL databases.
- Fluent in English, equivalent to IELTS 8 or higher.
Required skills
Your responsibilities
- Delivering website and web application code to a high standard that is readable and maintainable.
- Introducing and implementing mature and carefully chosen methodologies, tools and processes into the business with the goal of increasing output and reducing waste.
- Working with the Technical Director to create strategies around changes and new tech in the WordPress ecosystem.
- Delivering modern, responsive and interactive websites from start to finish.
Commitment
- This is a full-time permanent role on a hybrid basis. We would expect you to be able to attend our town hall meeting once a month at Origin Workspace in Bristol. Ideally, you would be able to come into the office once or twice a week but this is not essential.
- Overtime may be required to ensure that projects are delivered on time but this is rare.
