Hello there. I am a psychotherapist, coach and author, using rational emotive behaviour therapy (REBT) and clinical hypnotherapy to help people overcome their problems and achieve their goals.
REBT is a form of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) that is both a form of psychotherapy and a school of thought. So, it’s not only great for working on specific issues, but also a fine way of looking at life and all of its challenges in a whole new way.
Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness, very similar to daydreaming or losing yourself in a really good book. Hypnotherapy, then, is therapy conducted in a state of hypnosis and is a powerful tool for positive change.
I’ve been in practice since 2004 and have run successful clinics in London and Bristol. I’ve worked as a specialist for a private healthcare company and for an NHS trust hospital. I also work in a psychiatric hospital setting.
I’m the author of The Four Thoughts That F*ck You Up (and how to fix them) out now from Penguin Random House imprint, Vermillion. I’ve also written many articles on mental health and wellbeing and have appeared as an authoritative source in many more. I lecture at the College of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies and have written specialist workshops. I also deliver presentations on many aspects of mental health and wellbeing.
A former journalist and magazine editor, I have worked in mainstream journalism and in customer publishing, where I wrote and edited on a wide variety of topics for an equally varied client base.
I can provide mental health and wellbeing copy and deliver training and presentations to your company.
