You’ve been told you’re a natural leader, or you simply feel ready to step up to lead, but don’t know where to start. So what do the most successful leaders do differently? What makes the difference between loving and loathing being a leader?
This presentation from Jonathan Rees is based on two decades of leading, training and coaching other people to lead. As a result of attending you will understand:
– What you need to stop doing
– What you need to start thinking
– How to hold others accountable (without using a sandwich)
This session will be particularly useful for to-be and first-time leaders. There will be something new for everyone who leads, at any level.

Jonathan Rees is a leadership trainer, coach and facilitator running “Making Teams Work”, based in Bristol. He’s currently specialising in leadership development at a national police organisation, is the author of ‘The Resilience Toolkit’ and recently returned to university!

These sessions take place every other Friday morning from 8.30-9am, for the BCI community to share their pearls of wisdom with one another. The half hour webinars will involve a 15 minute presentation followed by a 10 minute facilitated Q&A, with introductions from the BCI team.
Our community is full of such amazing talent so we’re giving members the stage to talk about things that excite them so they can inspire their peers. The sessions will be a mix of expert tips and tricks and case studies – the perfect opportunity to learn something new before the week is out.
Our usual online format is an interactive ‘meeting’ but for this series we’re running webinars so that it’s easy to listen in while prepping for the day ahead or while having your breakfast! Cameras and mics will be off but you can ask your questions through the chat box or submit them beforehand.

These Portfolio Reviews are open to students, grads, or those within the first year of a creative career. In breakout rooms of three emerging creatives and one reviewer, you will get the opportunity to show and discuss work, as well as get advice and feedback.
