These sessions take place every other Friday morning from 8.30-9am, for the BCI community to share their pearls of wisdom with one another. The half hour webinars will involve a 15 minute presentation followed by a 10 minute facilitated Q&A, with introductions from the BCI team.

Our usual online format is an interactive ‘meeting’ but for this series we’re running webinars so that it’s easy to listen in while prepping for the day ahead or while having your breakfast! Cameras and mics will be off but you can ask your questions through the chat box or submit them beforehand.
Please get in touch with Dan if you’re interested in speaking at a future session.

Networking
I already know you’re good at your job, that’s why you’re here.
You’ve spent years mastering your craft and take pride in your work.
But being a leader means more than just getting the work done.
Now, you’re expected to voice opinions, make decisions, and solve problems.
And when you’re still new to leadership, that can feel daunting.
You’ve had some great leaders in the past (and a few you’d rather not become).
Now it’s your turn. It’s time to work out how you want to lead.
This session isn’t about fixed leadership styles or corporate stereotypes. It’s about bringing your personality, values, and experience into how you show up at work.
You’ll leave with practical tools, honest stories, and fresh perspective, whether leading a team, a business or yourself.
You’ll also have the chance to meet a lovely group of peers here in the South West who are figuring it out too.
What we’ll cover:
What authentic leadership really looks like (and what it’s not).
How to build trust without pretending to be someone you’re not.
How to feel more confident in your role — even when you don’t have all the answers.
You’ll leave with new perspectives, useful tools, and a network of brilliant peers in the South West who are facing similar challenges.

Shared Cycles: Why Reproductive Health Is Everyone’s Business
18:00
-20:30
Victoria Street Bristol BS1 6AA
Masterclass
We think that without community, no one would get very far.
Whether on a global or local scale – showing up for those around you helps to build positive connections and outcomes. We can create impact whether international, local, at home or at work.
As an agency, we looked at the workplace. As the collective fight for equality for women at work pushes on, we asked ourselves where else can we add value?
We got together to talk about the issues that were impacting us. And high on the list was the impact of the reproductive life cycle at work. It’s not surprising when 23% of UK women have considered quitting due to the impact of menopausal or menstrual symptoms (Simply Health, 2023).
So, join us for an evening of learning and discussion as we centre in on all things periods, PMDD, peri-menopause and beyond. Equip yourself with the facts and the figures, and crucially, learn why reproductive health is not just a women’s issue but is a business imperative.
Agenda:
6:00 – 6:30: Drinks and networking
6:30 – 6:40: An introduction from some of our Great Women, Victoria and Jinny.
6:40 – 7:00: A ‘cycles of self-love’ masterclass from Hazel at The Bristol Menopause Clinic.
7:00 – 7:30: ‘Why reproductive health is not just a women’s issue but is a business imperative’, from Sophie from HeyFlow.
7:30 – 8:00: Questions and discussion.
8:00 – 8:30: Drinks and networking
We’ll be joined by Sophie, Co-Founder of HeyFlow; an organisation that exists to unlock the unspoken reality of your female workforce. And Hazel from the Bristol Menopause Clinic, which works hard to provide comprehensive, compassionate and evidenced-based healthcare for the women of Bristol.
This is an event about women, but it is not just for women. Whether you’re a ‘shout it from the rooftops’ type of ally, or want to build momentum by upskilling, sharing knowledge and supporting when you can, it’s showing up that matters the most.
You don’t have to be the expert – learn with us – we’re facilitating a conversation that will benefit us all.
