You’ve probably heard the saying: Your network is your net worth. But if you can’t clearly communicate with that network, your net worth is less valuable. That’s why we launched The Bristol Speakers Club – a supportive, creative space to practise public speaking and develop confidence.
After running our first cohort in Spring 2025, the feedback has been incredible:
“The Bristol Speakers Club was fantastic – so supportive and innovative. I’ve been to quite a few groups over the years trying to build confidence in public speaking, but this one really stood out with its unique approach using science, mindfulness and modern techniques fit for the digital age. Since attending, I’ve been invited to deliver a paid talk (which went really well!) and asked to return for regular events. I never thought that was possible.”
– Tyrone Probert, Ecotribo Ltd
This isn’t just a place to practise speaking. It’s a space that’s deliberately small, mighty, and welcoming – where you can experiment, try new things, and improve in the company of people who genuinely want you to succeed.
We welcome everyone – whether you’re brand new to speaking, experienced on stage, or somewhere in between. Whatever your age, background, or identity, there’s room for you here. And because we’re building this club together, we listen closely to feedback and keep shaping the sessions to give you the most value.
Together, we grow skills that go beyond the stage:
– Deep listening
– Powerful storytelling
– Meaningful connection
– Clarity and expression
– Staying calm under pressure
It’s about full-bodied communication: speaking from the heart, listening with attention, and connecting with authenticity.
James Potten — Entrepreneur and facilitator who creates empowering spaces for people to move past limiting beliefs and discover what they’re capable of. James brings energy, curiosity, and a love of storytelling to every session, helping members grow in confidence, presence, and connection.
