Now that hybrid and remote working is becoming the norm, new leadership practices and ways of working are a necessity when building teams for the future. Whether you’re a new leader, or hoping to progress to a manager’s position soon, this session will empower you to be a true leader of the future.
In a recent survey by Adobe, nearly 60% of UK shoppers said they would switch to brands that better represent the values they hold dear. A huge 87% said that their values play a greater role in how and where they choose to spend their money. In line with their values, 40% of shoppers are actively seeking out sustainable, environmentally responsible brands.
In this meetup we will ask our panel, what does a good brand look like in this area? And how can businesses build strategies, that will see them move in the direction of being more socially and environmentally responsible? We’ll also explore how customers can be sure that the claims of an online retailer aren’t just greenwashing and how retailers can ensure that their products meet the criteria of the standard they set for themselves along the entire value and supply chains.
Casting is a crucial part of the production process and requires great people skills, patience and hard work from the casting producer. Real people and their stories are often at the heart of factual and entertainment programming – viewers love to watch their lives and opinions unfold and share in their highs and lows. How do you find great contributors, build trust to persuade them to take part in your show and get the most out of them? This session will delve into the casting producer role, to find out how you can pull together a compelling cast who will engage and entertain audiences.

The surprise benefits of side projects
Over the years, we have undertaken many side projects both personally and within the business – free from the defined goals of a client brief, they allow us time and space to explore our design creativity for personal rather than client purposes. However, they have also been an excellent addition to our marketing toolkit, helping us to connect with our audience in different ways and develop relationships, without being too ‘sales’ focused. In this talk we will reveal the surprise benefits of side projects and what they can bring.
Mytton Williams is a brand and design agency specialising in creating brands that are simple, smart and effective. We believe good design can make the world a better place. Less confusion, more clarity and more beauty. It has the power to shift perceptions and change behaviours, to help society and transform organisations.

There’s no denying it, there is a war on talent in many sectors globally right now. The creative industry has seen swathes of talented people leave agencies for new careers, freelancing or even going across to client-side. So, how do you fight back? A starting point is creating an EVP – an employee value proposition that is thoughtfully considered, innovative in its construction and valuable and motivating to your staff. A promise that demonstrates that your business is progressive, empathetic, and culturally oriented.
This Wake Up Call is particularly relevant for agency leaders who are looking for inspiration on how to retain and attract the very best talent for their creative business.
Simon’s career in the industry began in London in the early 1990’s. He cut his teeth in client service working in advertising, integrated marketing and brand consultancy before making the leap into agency ownership.
Brand planning was something that he enjoyed as he ventured into agency ownership, but he’s never lost sight of how important relationships are in business world and his M.O. of always being helpful and giving without expectation has helped to create a positive and successful culture at Mr B & Friends. As CEO, he is ultimately responsible for the success and performance of the agency but is still delighted to roll his sleeves up and get stuck in to client projects.
