More about our ‘Wake Up Call’ webinar series

These sessions take place every other Friday morning from 8.30-9am, for the BCI community to share their pearls of wisdom with one another. The half hour webinars will involve a 15 minute presentation followed by a 10 minute facilitated Q&A, with introductions from the BCI team.

Our community is full of such amazing talent so we’re giving members the stage to talk about things that excite them so they can inspire their peers. The sessions will be a mix of expert tips and tricks and case studies – the perfect opportunity to learn something new before the week is out.

Our usual online format is an interactive ‘meeting’ but for this series we’re running webinars so that it’s easy to listen in while prepping for the day ahead or while having your breakfast! Cameras and mics will be off but you can ask your questions through the chat box or submit them beforehand.

Please get in touch with Sian if you’re interested in speaking at a future session.

The Wake Up Call sessions are exclusively for BCI members – register your free place below!

If you’re not yet a member of Bristol Creative Industries and would like to take advantage of this member-only event, you can sign up here. You can also read about the membership perks here.

Most people f*ck up at some point…and most people live to tell the tale.

F*ckup Nights is a global movement and event series that shares stories of professional failure. Events across the globe get 3 or 4 people to get up in front of a room full of strangers to share their own professional f*ckup/mistake. The stories of the business that crashes and burns, the partnership that goes sour, the product that has to be recalled, stories like these will all be told.

At this second event we wil have three fabulous speakers who are going to share their mistakes.  No happy ending for any of these three stories!

Anour said that some mistakes provide a great learning experience, and eventually turn into a positive thing, others bring consequences that will impact you for the rest of your life. His story is one of living a full life within the boundaries of those consequences.

Amidst a promising engineering career, Laura’s world imploded due to persistent workplace sexism, resulting in burnout, a broken relationship, and leaving her job. Hear Laura’s untold narrative of fighting in a system not designed for her, a tale of personal failure and the failure of an industry, with no happy endings.

These will be real stories, from real people and there will be lessons we can all learn from.

Let’s change the narrative, let’s #ShareTheFailure and learn from it.

It is evident that with the rise in popularity and access to AI, our world is undergoing a profound transformation across various sectors and industries. From healthcare to finance, education to entertainment, AI’s far-reaching impact is reshaping traditional practices, enhancing efficiency, and opening up new realms of possibilities.

As AI becomes increasingly integrated into our daily lives, its ability to analyse vast amounts of data, make intelligent predictions, and automate complex tasks is not only revolutionising how we work and live, but also challenging us to consider the ethical and social implications of this technological advancement.

Join us as we explore AI and it’s influence on creative enterprise. There will be an interesting panel featuring industry experts, in addition to opportunities to network with individuals from across the industry.

Panel Title: How will AI influence Creative Industries going forward?

Your website is the central hub for your lead generation, customer experience, sales, marketing, eCommerce, fundraising or onboarding activities to revolve around.

And with the right strategic roadmap in place, your website can be continuously improved and evolved so that it brings more and more value to your organisation. But if digital strategy and website evolution is neglected, this will block growth.

In this workshop with the Atomic Smash team, we’ll look at how website optimisation and evolution helps organisations within the creative industries to get the most value out of their digital platforms.

We’ll explore the ways to enhance your website by taking a results-driven approach, helping you identify the higher priority sections of your website to focus on, and the best ways to track and measure conversions.

This session will be ideal for marketing leaders and anyone responsible for their company website. You’ll work through ideas that you can implement yourself or by utilising the skills and expertise of a website agency. And you’ll leave with clarity around how to make your website an investment rather than an expense.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £30 +VAT for BCI members and £50 +VAT for non-members. Book your place below!
