How it works;
Friday 3rd July, 6pm – Flag-off at The Arnol Fini bar – production teams are invited to assemble and pick from buckets their individual brief of three elements; a line of dialogue, an iconic Bristol location (permissions already given by the Bristol Film Office) and a prop to incorporate in to their films (max duration five minutes, all genres welcome).
3rd-5th July – Teams plan, write, shoot and edit their films.
Sunday 5th July, 7pm – Submission deadline for all films.
Tuesday 7th July, 7pm – All films will be shown at the Arnol Fini screening theatre, where the films will be judged by a panel of expert filmmakers (director Philippa Lowthorpe, actor and BBC radio host Joe Sims, comedian and actress Jayde Adams & IMDB founder Col Needham) on their storytelling, creativity and adherence to the brief.
In addition to the honour and distinction of winning a Brunie, the winners of Best Film, Best Directing, Editing, Cinematography, Acting, Sound & Music will be awarded cash prizes, generous charity donation pledges from supporting Bristol film & TV organisations and 12-month full Adobe CC licence subscriptions are up for grabs. Updates and info will be shared on our instagram page @cuttingitfine48hr
Best of luck to everyone entering and we look forward to seeing you at the Flag off on 3rd July!
