The 401 Challenge to host fundraising dinner

5th February 2020

Join us at the home of Concorde for a fundraising dinner and auction in aid of the next project from 401, The USA 2020 Challenge.

Enjoy a welcome drink, red carpet experience, tour of Concorde, 3 course meal and auction, all hosted by our very own Bristol born Joe Sims.

Help us get our volunteer team to the USA in order for them to raise £1 million for The 401 Foundation and Youth Sport, inspiring young to use the power of sport and physical activity to help improve their health and wellbeing.

Following on from the success of the original 401 Challenge in 2015 that saw Ben Smith run 401 marathons in 401 days raising over £330,00 for two charities and being honoured with a Pride of Britain Award and the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Helen Rollason Award in 2016, he is now taking on a new epic challenge…USA2020!  In a nutshell, Ben will be running one marathon in each of the 50 US state capitals and then cycling between them… this equates to more than 14,000 miles in just 104 days!

Please click this link for the sponsorship packages and individual tickets, or if you would like more information please do not hesitate to contact [email protected].

Please also note that Ben Smith would be delighted to come along as part of either the Platinum or Gold package and deliver an inspiring talk for up to 1 hour including Q&A to your staff, colleagues or customers.  This will need to be arranged at a mutually convenient time and only expenses will be charged (usual cost is £3000 plus VAT; this will be included in your sponsorship fee).

Ben’s talks are relatable, personal and engaging. You will hear about his life experiences where he was severely bullied at school which had a profound impact on his confidence, self-esteem and identity. You will hear about what inspired him to run 401 Marathons in 401 days and why he is preparing for his second epic fundraising event in July, the USA 2020 Challenge. Ben was recognised after his 401 Challenge and was awarded many accolades including Pride of Britain and BBC Sports Personality Helen Rollason Award in 2016, you can see his story here https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/sports-personality/38304281.

Just give Liz a call on 0117 301 8223 if you’d like to find out any more, thanks for reading and hope to see you there.
