Member Bio
Hi, I’m a bio-artist and former scientist blending curiosity, creativity, and a love for the natural world. My work explores the strange beauty of transformation—life, death, and everything in between. I’m fascinated by the uncanny and the delicate interplay between organic and inorganic forms.
My current project, Vitae Vestigia, draws on memento mori and dark ecology. I create latex molds from skeletal forms—spine vertebrae, hand, foot, sternum, and skull—and grow roots within them. Once the roots have taken the shape of the molds, I carefully remove and dry them before accenting the structures with crystals. The resulting pieces are fragile yet striking, reflecting on cycles of life, decay, and regeneration.
Sustainability is at the heart of my practice, and I love working with natural and waste materials like latex and wheatgrass roots. My art invites curiosity and reflection, encouraging a deeper connection with the beauty and fragility of life.
I’m based in Bristol and currently studying at Swansea School of Art. If my work resonates with you, I’d love to connect and share ideas!
