Key People
Michael Henderson - Director
Having spent 20 years in commercial insurance, Michael saw the industry’s need for a premium service that protected creative companies. He founded RiskBox with the aim to rebuild trust and reduce confusion in the insurance sector – giving business owners a place to turn when they need it most. Michael is also the co-founder of The Bulletproof Agency Network, a creative agency support service which specialises in industry-focused events and publications.
Sam Johnson - Director
Sam joined RiskBox in February 2017 and quickly realised his passion for protecting businesses through insurance. Where he truly excels is his no-fuss, hands-on approach. Sam takes the time to get to know every client, working hard to find the best solution for them. A dad to one child and three dogs, Sam is also an avid football player.
Gemma Kay - Commercial Account Handler and Claims Manager
Gemma joined the RiskBox team in May 2019. She has several years’ experience under her belt in financial services, moving over to insurance after spending the early part of her career in banking fraud. A chatty and witty presence in the RiskBox office, Gemma is also a proud mum – spending as much time as possible with her daughter. She also enjoys cycling and the odd game of squash.
Omar Akram - Senior Commercial Account Handler
Omar joined RiskBox in November 2021. He is young, eager, and very much a hands-on, people person. He is excited to meet and build relationships with as many of our much-loved clients as possible. He has spent the last few years developing his knowledge in the commercial insurance sector and working towards industry qualifications. Omar is knowledgeable and happy to go above and beyond to help
Zoey Wood - Senior Commercial Account Handler
Making the team even stronger in 2023, Zoey joined the RiskBox team and we were extremely excited to bring wealth of knowledge to the team. Zoey brings a plethora of knowledge and enthusiasm to RiskBox…as well as a love of black bomber cheese and all things Christmas related. A proud mum and owner of a mischievous fur baby, Buddy the dog! She enjoys spending as much time with family as possible.
Claire Nudds - Commercial Account Handler
Claire joined RiskBox in 2024 after spending most of her working life in the Mortgage and Protection sector. She wanted a new challenge and felt Commercial Insurance would be the right area. She can be chatty and always believes in getting the best for the client, making her a perfect addition to the RiskBox team. Claire enjoys travelling abroad in her spare time and loves seeing elephants if she gets a chance. Otherwise, she likes weekends away on the Norfolk coast, travelling with her 2 dogs and husband.
Beth Roscoe - Marketing Coordinator
Beth joined our RiskBox team in 2025 as our Marketing Coordinator, bringing with her experience and a true passion for marketing. Her expertise comes from launching and running her own sustainable clothing brand, where she gained all her knowledge of brand development and social media strategy. Outside of work, Beth enjoys the outdoors with her lively Labrador, whose boundless energy keeps her on her toes.
Ryan O'Connor - Commercial Accounts Handler
As our newest member of the team Ryan joined RiskBox in April 2025 as our Accounts Handler. With five years experience in the insurance industry, Ryan looks forward to working alongside some of our new and existing clients, whilst developing his knowledge of the commercial insurance sector. Outside the office, he spends most of his time outdoors, enjoying hiking and playing Sunday league football.
