Hello! I’m a Bristol based BAFTA winning director. I have experience in shorts and TV directing as well as developing feature ideas. Many of my shorts were financed by a range of funders such as LFVDA, UKFC, Film Four, and Anglia TV. I have sold internationally to many TV stations winning numerous awards, such as from Clermont-Ferrand, DePicT, The Royal Television Society (R.T.S), Brest and Encounters Festival. I won my BAFTA for the BBC drama OFFSIDE and won another R.T.S for Children’s TV Series GIRLS IN LOVE by Jacqueline Wilson.

I went to Bretton Hall College (Leeds Uni) before completing a MA in Film Direction at the Royal College of Art.  I am currently working on a Sci-Fi idea MAPPED, a popular concept at the Torino Film Lab, TFL Extended – TV series, which has been optioned by IE IE Productions, in Cardiff. With BFI early development funding I started to develop my dark comedy SOMEWHERE OUT THERE. I have attended the Cinesisters BREAKING THROUGH THE LENS at Cannes. I also won the Tangerine Entertainment Fellowship with this feature in June 2021 Stowe Story Lab

I attended the Cinefondation screenwriting residency in Paris (Cannes film festival) and attended the Guiding Lights scheme. My directing mentor was David Yates (Harry Potter). More recently I have been mentored by Philippa Lowthorpe via the INSPIRE Directors UK scheme.  I was on the BFI scheme ‘Think, Shoot, Distribute’ alongside Andrew Haigh (‘45 Years’) and I was accepted onto the Creative England ‘Elevator Scheme’.

In terms of writing, I won the Nick Darke screenwriting award for a social drama feature script called CUB, which had Tim Spall and Helen McCrory (attached in principle). CUB, originally nurtured by the late Catherine Wearing (Producer) was selected for the Berlinale Talent Project Market. I am a BAFTA connect member and a part-time Senior Film Lecturer. I have recently become attached to a feature by talented welsh writer Steph Lloyd-Jones called MACHINES OF LOVE AND GRACE. I live in Bristol, England.
