Member Bio
I am a freelance theatre designer based in Bristol, interested in making thoughtful new work that explores contemporary issues. I am particularly excited by breaking conventions in form and genre, through generative collaboration with other creatives. I am a graduate of the MA in Performance Design from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and the winner of the 2025 John Elvery Prize for Design.
My impetus is to create work that foregrounds the body’s relationship with space, and I have designed for both theatre and dance. Before training in theatre, I studied Fine Art & Art History (Goldsmiths, BA Hons). Artistic processes such as painting, drawing and collage are an important part of my concept development.
Along with design, my other experience includes scenic art, set building and filmmaking. My digital skills include Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup and AutoCAD 2D. I also have experience in creative facilitation for young people in schools.
Design credits include The Chipping Norton Incident (R&D) (dir. Eloise Grieve, 2025); Seating Plan (Union Theatre / Gilded Balloon, dir. Florence Carr-Jones, 2025); Wild East (Bristol Old Vic Weston Studio, dir. Chris Sims, 2025); The Comedy of Errors/The Merry Wives of Windsor (The Station, dir. Joe Leat, 2025); Horne’s Descent (Old Red Lion Theatre, dir. Chloe Cattin, 2024); and Fortuna (Hoxton Hall, dir. Maxi Himpe, 2024). As assistant designer, my credits include When We Strike (Southwark Playhouse Elephant, 2024) and Ada (National Youth Theatre, 2023).
