Member Bio
Mind Ya Business Theatrics is a Bristol-based theatre collective on a mission to disrupt and redefine the fringe theatre scene. We make visceral, contemporary theatrical work and hold ourselves to high production and professional standards.
We run our productions as an open-book collective: our finances are transparent, and our model follows the core principles of ethical theatre-making. Following the approach outlined by Rafe Beckley, productions are funded collectively – many individuals contribute smaller amounts at the outset, and then share in any profits alongside the artists who create the work. This allows us to prioritise sustainable working conditions from the very beginning. Good work shouldn’t come at the expense of the people making it. If you’re interested in supporting future productions, drop us a message and our founder will get in touch.
Our debut production, The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh, ran at The Loco Klub for three days in November 2025 and sold over 350 seats. Since then, we’ve built out a city centre studio: a space for theatre-makers, performance artists, and creatives to get in the room and develop their craft. We offer studio hire at a preferential rate for locals (BS postcodes) and run regular workshops with sliding scale payment options for all.
Our work extends beyond the proscenium: our ongoing collaboration with Avon & Somerset Constabulary uses applied performance to support officer training. Please contact us directly to enquire about similar services.
At our core, we’re here to make theatre that fights for harmony through dissonance. We’re interested in what happens when you push at the edges of what people consider ‘performance,’ and we want to discover what changes that pushing can create both on the stage and out in the real world.
