Louis is a Bristol-based composer and music tutor. He is currently completing an MA in Composition for Film and TV, developing a professional portfolio focused on atmospheric, mood-driven music for screen.
His work combines electronic sound design with acoustic instrumentation, specialising in tension, psychological atmosphere, and character-led scoring. Drawing on influences from 1980s and contemporary screen music, Louis creates scores that prioritise tone, texture, and emotional clarity, with a strong understanding of how music functions within visual storytelling.
Alongside his compositional work, Louis is an established music tutor, teaching piano, guitar, music theory, composition, and music production. His teaching practice is closely tied to his creative work, reinforcing a clear, practical understanding of musical structure, orchestration, and studio workflow.
Originally from Greater Manchester and now based in Bristol, Louis is committed to building an inclusive and sustainable career within the screen industries. As a disabled and composer from a working-class background, he brings a perspective shaped by lived experience, and is actively invested in supporting under-represented creatives through education, collaboration, and future initiatives. His current focus is on expanding industry networks, collaborating with filmmakers, and securing professional scoring opportunities across film, television, and related media.
