Member Bio
I am a BA Hons Interior Design Graduate from the University of the West of England, I graduated with a 2:1 but achieved a First in my Final Major Project. I was invited to be a Featured Designer at London New Designers 2024 by my University. During my Second Year, I was very lucky to have the opportunity to do a week of Work experience at Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, where I learnt the rendering software Enscape. During the five days, I learnt invaluable tips and at the end of the week, I presented to a group of Architects. This experience made me feel excited to begin Industry Work and also inspired me to experiment more with colour.
I am a passionate designer, with many of my designs taking inspiration from natural forms. My projects at university have focused on sustainability, biophilic design and community spaces. I enjoy experimenting with colour, pattern and detail, with my Final Major Project using black and red only to contrast with my peers and stand out during the Degree Show, which was commented on by many of the attendees. I like to consider my clients and their experience within my designs, I was tasked with designing a house for Evelynn Glennie during a Second year Project, Glennie is a world-renowned Deaf percussionist who uses her feet to ‘listen’ to the vibrations of her instrument. To enhance her experience, I chose reverberant materials such as concrete.
As well as Interiors I have enjoyed designing furniture, for example: creating a series of chairs for a Co-working space, A lamp made from a banana material and most recently an acoustic material made from sustainable materials, that is also visually appealing and can be back-lit.
