Member Bio

I’m a screenwriter, script consultant and educator based in the South West, with a background in creative learning and theatre. My writing centres on character-driven stories that challenge stereotypes and explore identity, class, gender and illness, often through bold but emotionally grounded perspectives.

I came into screenwriting later in life, after years of creative work across education, festivals and community arts. That path informs both my storytelling and my approach to supporting others, whether I’m mentoring emerging writers, guest lecturing in screenwriting, or working with organisations to make storytelling more accessible and representative.

My first short film was funded through a screenwriting competition win, and I’m now developing projects in TV and film, including feminist reimaginings of literary figures and contemporary dramas tackling masculinity, care and survival. I’m also a script reader for competitions and production companies, and a regular adjudicator for playwriting and theatre awards.

I care deeply about stories that resonate with lived experience, and about making space, on and off screen, for those whose voices are too often overlooked.
