I’m Edda, a Bristol-based florist and founder of Felisa Flowers & Events.

Before working with flowers full-time, I spent several years in events and operations, most recently as Head of Events at Science Creates, where I delivered over 300 events in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. That experience shaped how I work today: calm under pressure, detail-driven, and deeply aware of how people experience spaces.

I’m originally from Mexico and moved to the UK over a decade ago. Like many immigrants, I’ve rebuilt my career more than once. Floristry is the throughline that kept pulling me back. I trained formally, went back to school, and leaned into something that had always been part of my life — my dad worked in floristry when I was younger, and I grew up around flowers long before I realised it could be a profession.

Through Felisa, I create floral work for people, homes, and events — focusing on colour, texture, emotion, and intentional design rather than trends or mass production. My work is small-batch, personal, and led by instinct as much as technique.

Alongside my floristry practice, I also support small businesses with operations and systems work, drawing on my background in events and business. These are separate strands of my work, but both are rooted in the same values: clarity, honesty, and building things that feel human.

Felisa is an evolving practice — imperfect, thoughtful, and grounded in real work.
