Member Bio
Alexia Dobre is a Romanian set and costume designer for theatre and film based in Bristol.
She started to work on different projects from the university and her creations were displayed in numerous exhibitions in Romania and also at the Student Exhibition of Prague Quadrennial in 2023.
Alexia is interested in incorporating natural elements in the scenic environment in an essentialised and organic way without losing the theatricality of the set. She is interested in the permanent dialog between the set and the theatre architecture and also the dialog between the univers of the play and the spectators. Alexia is also interested in the realm of fine arts, also working as a painter and illustrator.
