Bristol24/7 is the South West’s Bristol’s biggest and best independent magazine and website, and your first port of call to find out what’s happening across Bristol with news, features, what’s on listings and everything in between. You’ll find it all here on our website and across our social media.
Our award winning work experience programme provides real life experience to a wide range of young people, including those who would not usually get opportunities to develop skills in the media industry. More than 500 people have gained work experience at Bristol24/7 HQ with many going on to follow careers in journalism. Some are now working at national newspapers.
In 2017 Bristol24/7 launched an ambitious social impact programme delivering projects that have changed the lives of many who live in the city. These projects include How To Be A Chef, a bi-annual 12 week course aimed at young people who aren’t at work or in other education. The course delivers practical qualifications, invaluable experience and has directly led to many graduates gaining permanent employment in the industry.
In 2018 Bristol24/7 launched Better Bristol, an initiative to bring together its social and environmental aspirations, support its editorial independence and build a collaborative approach to making a better Bristol. You can find out more about Better Bristol here.
Bristol24/7 is a Community Interest Company, which means the title is a protected asset, owned by a wide spread of shareholders from across the city. The lion’s share of any future profits will be reinvested back into the company and ongoing projects in the community of Bristol.
