I’m Robin, a fresh University of Bristol alumnus eager to get involved in the film and television industry. Whilst studying my academically-focused undergraduate degree, I continued to pursue my interest in film and television by running for a friend’s student film, teaching myself film theory, and attending workshops on creative skills such as photography and special effects makeup. Upon graduating, I resolved to follow this fascination further, completing the ScreenSkills Training Passport, the First Aid at Work certification and most recently All Set West’s training programme.
I love to collaborate and form relationships with others in the local community and find calm and purpose through supporting others and taking initiative in creative teams to streamline the process of production. For example, I love playing tabletop role-playing games or leading a team in “Overcooked!”, and during my degree I volunteered for the role of editor in my group’s research project.
I have a strong eye for detail and am an avid, adaptive learner. One of my favourite pastimes is watching video essays or reading analyses on any film or series that happens to catch my eye, and I am an enthusiast of inclusion and sustainability in stories as well as practice. Deeply invested in exploring meaning and connection through storytelling, whether factual or fictional, I am interested in varied departments, formats, and genres. Currently I am looking to gather experience in production, camera and post-production roles, and further develop skills conducive to writing, practical effects and props.
