Member Bio
Founded in 2013, Babbasa is a not-for-profit social enterprise empowering young people from ethnically diverse and deprived communities move into work, further education or enterprise. Recipient of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Promoting Opportunity through social mobility, Babbasa has a proven track record of tackling social and economic disadvantage amongst over 3,000 young people (16-25 years) from Bristol’s inner-city.
Babbasa partners with over 170 local employers from key sectors, including over 50 from creative and media to support diverse young talent to access and secure work experience and employment. Babbasa also supports organisations to diversify their workforce and create inclusive work environments; and is currently championing “Our City 2030”, an ambitious vision to transform lives in inner-city Bristol.
