Reed O'Beirne
I am focused on the confluence of society, technology and commerce - with 10+ years experience as a multi-media artist and 12 as a business manager for Amazon.com/IMDb. During my 7 years with IMDb, our data team was based in Bristol so I have been connected to the tech world here since 2004. I am a founder and Head of Business for Assistant Engineering. We create custom AI assistants that optimise business innovation, simplify complex services and provide in-depth insights into specialised and creative fields. In my current art practice, I am using AWS to train a GAN (neural network) from the ground up to generate images from a training set of my own film images for a project aimed at art galleries and festivals.
Tom Berman
Tom is a founder and CTO of Assistant Engineering. He has over 10 years of experience in the software industry, where he has written software and managed various teams. He has worked on multiple AI-related projects, contributed to open-source libraries, and built many of his own tools.
