I’m Alan Tabrett — a 3D artist and VFX generalist with over 20 years of experience creating cinematic visuals and high-end 3D imagery for film, design, and beyond. My work bridges storytelling and visual communication — from independent film visual effects to product visualization, architectural imagery, and explainer graphics.
Having worked across such varied projects, I’ve become a true generalist — skilled in every stage from concept and planning to final compositing. Whether I’m building environments, crafting simulations of smoke, fluid, and particles, or producing photorealistic 3D renders, my focus is always on achieving high-quality, practical results that bring ideas vividly to life within real-world constraints of time and budget.
I draw inspiration from both classic filmmaking and modern digital artistry — from the handcrafted magic of pioneers like Ray Harryhausen to the groundbreaking innovations of the artists and engineers at ILM. Their work reminds me that great visual effects and 3D design share the same foundation: creativity, problem-solving, and storytelling.
I’m honest, direct, and collaborative, always aiming to deliver work that not only meets expectations but elevates the vision behind it. Whether I’m using my current skills or learning new ones, my mission remains the same — to help creators and clients realize their ideas with clarity, craft, and imagination.
