Marks and Spencer #gojumpers with Inspired

To bring some festive joy to Londoners’ morning commutes, Inspired and Mail Metro Media teamed up to orchestrate an impromptu performance of the Marks & Spencer, now iconic, Go Jumpers Christmas advert.

No tears or pulling on the heart strings this year; instead it’s all about the pure joy of the festive season.

In one of London’s busiest train station, the dancers from the Go Jumpers advert were inconspicuous in the crowds, until the instantly recognisable first notes of House of Pain’s “Jump Around” could be heard blasting out across the concourse.

Cue the shedding of their disguises, and a performance of the full routine from the Marks and Spencer’s Christmas ad, with even the busy bystanders busting out the infamous M&S shoulder roll.

Dressed in cosy knits from the new Marks & Spencer knitwear collection, the dancers definitely cheered up a freezing Tuesday morning for people on their way to work.

“I was pretty bemused at first when the music started,” said Rob Marr who witnessed the dancers in action. “But I’d seen the ad, and loved it, so quickly realised it must have been something to do with that.”

This surprise event is all part of the brand’s approach to celebrating the fun-filled side of Christmas.

Talking about the new campaign, Nathan Ansell, Marketing Director of M&S Clothing and Home said: “This year our Christmas campaign is all about great style and great value for the whole family. We’re having some fun with our customers and colleagues. We can’t wait to see the nation Go Jumpers for Christmas.”
