Our smart thinking, expert team is looking to recruit a Data & Analytics Manager to support Varn as we continue to grow our business. Varn is the largest and longest-established specialist SEO, AI search, digital PR and data analytics agency in the South West, based in the beautiful town of Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire, just outside Bath.

We’re looking for an ambitious Data & Analytics Manager who wants to develop their career in a supportive and expert-led team.

The role would typically look like this:

We are looking for someone who will lead the data and analytics strategy for a wide variety of clients. You should be comfortable with client-facing responsibilities and thrive working in a team to create advanced tracking set ups. 

With a background in data and analytics and a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in successfully working in data, analytics and tracking, you will work with our team to create advanced tracking set ups and troubleshoot data issues. 

The Data and Analytics Manager will plan and implement tracking and reporting that meets the requirements of each client’s individual needs. You will have strong analysis skills and the ability to extract useful insights from data and convey the story of the data to clients. Additionally, you will work directly with our clients, helping them to set up and collect accurate data tracking, and providing actionable recommendations to help them improve website performance. 

The role will be supported by two expert Data Managers and senior support by the Search and Innovation Director.

Key Responsibilities of this role would include:

Analyse, interpret, and visualise data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights.

Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Google Looker Studio or other BI tools e.g Power BI, or Tableau. 

Track and measure SEO and paid media performance using GA4, Google Search Console, and other relevant tools.

Implement and audit tracking setups in Google Tag Manager and ensure accurate data collection.

Collaborate with teams to identify data gaps, optimise processes, and recommend strategies. Make contributions to wider SEO strategies which reflect the client’s business objectives, website performance, and available resources to achieve tangible results.

Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations (GDPR, DMA) including having an up-to-date understanding of compliance requirements and consent mode

Translate complex analytics into clear, compelling stories for clients and stakeholders.

Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including presenting ongoing work in regular meetings

Keeping up to date with industry developments to ensure continuous development of our data and analytics knowledge. Contributing proactively with thought leadership, creating and writing content to help share Varn’s expertise within SEO and search marketing.
