About The Content Emporium
At The Content Emporium we offer a high level plug-in content marketing support to comprehensively fill the gaps in the skills and resources that large brands have in-house. With a team of 84 strategic, creative experts, we offer a vast suite of services, including strategy, design, copywriting, social content creation, photography, community management, motion graphics and much more. From Instagram reels and TikTok management to email marketing and print magazines, we deliver a wide range of engaging content services. Unlike some larger agencies we fully integrate with our clients’ marketing departments to add real value every day.
Why we are hiring
We currently serve a diverse client base, from FTSE 100 property giant Landsec to national food service group Caterfood. We’ve retained our largest client, Landsec, for 17 years and we now run the digital marketing for 30 of their shopping centres and leisure parks including Bluewater, Gunwharf Quays and LIverpool ONE. We have ambitious plans as we move into 2027 and we need a video editor to edit video content for use on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and websites. It’s an exciting time to come aboard!
Our commitment
We are actively trying to create an inclusive and diverse environment. All applicants will be considered for employment based on suitability for the role alone and without attention to age, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, neurodiversity or disability status.
The application process
- Please submit a CV and cover letter plus a short (max 2 pages) case study of a video editing project you’re proud of. Please explain briefly how you could use this case study to win more creative work for your agency / yourself in future. Please send all of this to [email protected] with the subject line ‘Video Editor Vacancy 2026’. We do not accept applications via LinkedIn, so do not apply directly.
- Deadline: 21st September 2026 (12pm)
- In-person interviews: late Sept / early Oct – we can arrange a mutually convenient time
- Job start date: ASAP depending on the successful candidate’s circumstances
Please let us know if there’s anything specific we can do to make your application process easier for you.
Required skills
The role
We’re seeking an organised and skilled social-first video editor with strong software knowledge to join our extensive content team. You’ll be responsible for editing others’ footage in Premiere Pro to create engaging content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. You’ll need to be a great team player, as you’ll have to liaise with the content creators and content editors to deliver the final channel-worthy content.
It would be a bonus if candidates are also capable videographers, as additional support is sometimes needed, in which case we would want you to take on planning and filming for content creation trips / shoots around the UK.
Responsibilities to include (but not limited to);
Planning and editing:
- Conceptualise, storyboard, plan and produce video ads or organic social video content for our clients.
- Use Premiere Pro (ideally in combination with After Effects and Photoshop) to edit and combine clips, adding text or animations as needed.
- Collaborate with creative and production teams to deliver content that aligns with brand tone, strategy, and campaign objectives.
- Stay up to date with digital content trends, social-first storytelling, and editing techniques.
- Enhance storytelling through creative use of music, sound design, motion graphics, and transitions.
- Adapt edits for multiple formats, ensuring content is optimised for different platforms and audiences.
- Check our workflow management boards and complete video editing tasks
- Manage media assets, project files, and deliverables in an organised and efficient workflow.
Business development video marketing for The Content Emporium:
- Edit engaging videos to help us market The Content Emporium to attract potential clients. Help us create video ads, short form content for social and web, and more.
- Be happy to present video ideas to potential clients and develop that side of our work.
Video content creation (if applicable):
- Filming on location – this might be at shopping centres or on shoots – to create short video clips to a brief.
- Collaborate on the briefs and planning for these location shoots, and make any pre-arrangements needed.
- Capture creative, high quality footage that’s fit for purpose and channel-appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1-5 years working in a similar role, or in a role requiring frequent video editing.
- Experience with social media marketing, ideally within an agency or brand.
- Knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, with a sense of how to engage an audience on all of those channels.
- Excellent communication, writing, organisation and tech skills in relation to editing video, and ideally shooting too.
- The ability to work alone and come up with solutions or operate as part of a creative team.
- Great attention to detail and reliably high standards of work
- A self-starting attitude – we need you to drive our client work and business development forward without needing too much senior input.
- A creative mind full of ideas, and a keenness to introduce new content formats and ways of working.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Premiere Pro and Photoshop. Experience with After Effects highly desirable, but not essential.
- An enthusiastic and creative outlook – we want someone who cares about their work and always strives to deliver the best video content they can.
