Overview:

The role of Junior 3D Designer sits in the design department and is a member of Bakehouse Factory’s core in-house production team.
The role is intended to support the Head of Design and the 3D Designer to deliver a huge range of event designs throughout the year.
The Junior 3D Designer will take on some of the smaller event designs entirely and will support with layouts and other design elements
on larger jobs. The role takes its work flow from the Head of Design and must be able to work to deadlines.
As a busy events company, Bakehouse Factory produces a large number of events per year. We rely on our team to be part of the drive
and overall vision of Bakehouse and to always have the best interests of the business in mind. The organisation thrives on the collaboration
of it’s core team, to ensure everyone is working towards the common goal of producing high quality events within the time and budget available
to us. Bakehouse staff are expected to work collaboratively to ensure that they are supporting the work flow across all production departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure projects are creativity designed in a timely and effective manner. Create beautiful designs that meet client and Bakehouse expectations.
Follow designs through to delivery with layouts and simple construction drawings. Work with your line manager to ensure designs are completed to meet workload requirements.

General:

• Understand briefs and create beautiful designs for our smaller events in a Bakehouse style.
• Work with the Head of Design, Head of Install and Workshop in order to understand methods of construction and create construction drawings.
• Support the Head of Design and 3D Designer to layout or develop specific design elements for larger Bakehouse events.
• Develop design practice to ensure the design process is becoming more efficient and effective.
• Produce final layouts for clients and internal production departments.
• Liaise with print companies and other relevant suppliers to ensure prints and materials are quoted for, booked in and received in a high quality.
• Support with packing lists, when necessary, to aid with the warehouse and installation of Bakehouse projects.
• Work with client services and all other Bakehouse departments to ensure they are supported in pitching of projects.
• Think creatively to produce new ideas and innovate to meet constraints of cost, time and client needs.
• Work with other departments to ensure all design and relevant issues are resolved.
• Within quieter periods Bakehouse would require you to be flexible and work across departments.

Required skills

• Experience of 3D Design ideally in a theatre or events setting.
• Understanding or experience of family based events.
• Competent user of Sketchup.
• Basic understanding of construction methods and eager to learn more.
• Desire to be part of a busy and fast growing events company
