Job Description
Studio Assistant (part-time)
We are looking for a Studio Assistant to join the Sunhouse team.
About Us
We are Sunhouse, an independent brand design agency based in Bath. We grow brands through soul, spine and obsessive creativity. A local agency, trusted by global giants, we match sky-high ambitions, but always stay down to earth. We’re B Corp people and 1% For the Planet members too.
We are a highly creative, hands-on team of bright thinkers, positive can-doers and people who know the best work often starts by getting stuck in.
About the Position
As our Studio Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Operations Director to run our studio. The pace is lively. The work is varied. The details matter.
You’ll be a central point of contact for the agency, welcoming colleagues, clients and suppliers with warmth, confidence and calm. Front of house means more than answering the door. It means setting the tone, keeping things flowing and making sure people feel looked after.
It’s a practical role with real impact. You’ll help create an environment where people can do their best work and stay focused on the brilliant business of creativity.
As a B Corp, we care about how we work as much as what we create. You’ll help champion that by finding smarter, kinder and more sustainable ways to keep the studio running.
In short, you’ll help Sunhouse shine from the inside out.
Required skills
Studio Management
You’ll be the go-to person for the everyday running of the studio. This includes:
- Managing phones, greeting visitors and keeping the studio welcoming and organised
• Coordinating with external contractors for cleaning, servicing and repairs
• Managing the studio budget, monitoring expenses and ordering equipment, supplies and refreshments
• Supporting the Operations Director with basic IT troubleshooting
• Sharing relevant studio updates, policies and procedures with the team
• Helping the Client Services team with post, logistics and travel requirements
Health and Safety
You’ll play an important role in our Health and Safety team, helping keep the studio safe, sensible and aligned with the right policies. This includes supporting procedures, carrying out risk assessments, completing weekly safety checks and helping promote our employee assistance programme, so the team knows where to turn for support.
Event Planning
From planning our yearly events calendar to coordinating regular Show & Share sessions, you’ll help create the moments that bring people together, share great work and keep the studio spirit alive. You’ll also help manage the budget and planning for our social events and parties. A bit of spreadsheet. A bit of sparkle. Sometimes both at once.
Benefits
Perks & Place
You’ll receive all the industry-standard perks you would expect, plus a few Sunhouse extras that make studio life even brighter. All in a world-class creative studio in the heart of a vibrant city, with beautiful countryside just beyond it. The best of both worlds.
