Job Description
We are looking for a freelance social media content creator for a one-off job to generate fresh and exciting content for Strange Brew’s social media.
The content creation will be designed to promote Strange Brew’s profile as an independent music venue. We are open to ideas on what the exact content will be and can be discussed at an inception meeting. However we anticipate it will be filmed during our 6th birthday party on Saturday 5th September, with the content formatted and ready for publishing by October 2026. It could cover:
- Short interviews / soundbites with Strange Brew staff
- Short interviews / soundbites with artists
- Footage from performances
- Footage / content from bar and drinks menu
- Behind-the-scenes footage of event setups & soundchecks
- General footage and still photographs of the space
Expect output is up for discussion but expected to be around:
- 4-5 social media posts of 2 minutes each
- Some still images we can add to our general PR library
Required skills

Experience in content creation for social media including filming, photography and editing.
Applicant information
Applicants must be:
- Aged 18–29 (or under 30) at the time of application.
- Live within the West of England (Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire).
- Already working as a full time freelance creative or have ambitions to do so.
In your application please include:

- Portfolio or links demonstrating previous work
- Some initial suggestions / ideas for content
As the applicants will be acting in a freelance capacity it is up to them to quote for the work. We have £500 available from Noods Levels which we are assuming will be the minimum fee, but we will consider quotes for more than this depending on experience and nature of the content / ideas.
The Noods fund has been designed to be commensurate to 30 hours in total at £14/hr. If working to this fee structure we would expect the work to comprise:
- 1-2 hrs briefing meeting (online or in person at Strange Brew)
- 4-7 hrs attending birthday event to gather footage
- 4-7 hrs attending a second event to gather footage
- 18 – 20 hrs work pre and post-editing
