We are looking for a top class WordPress Web Developer to join our team!
Based in our swanky new office space in Nailsea, just outside of Bristol, Squarebird works with clients of all sizes, providing web and digital marketing solutions to firms big and small around the globe. Clients include Thatchers Cider, Brandon Trust, Lancer Scott and a number of other exciting names.
The successful candidate will become a key part Squarebird’s development team, working to help with the delivery of new client projects, ad-hoc amendments, website and updates.
The role will include:
- Building amazing websites through WordPress
- Making ad-hoc amendments to our existing website portfolio
- Liaising with clients and collaborating with our Project Managers
- Working with the design team to turn their concepts into living, breathing pieces of art!

Required skills
Key knowledge and skills:
- Accomplished in WordPress development
- Extensive experience in HTML and CSS
- Proven knowledge of Javascript, jQuery and PHP
- Exposure to working with MySQL desirable
- Experience in migrating and on-boarding websites desirable
- Understanding of DNS management desirable
- Comfortable using an Apple Mac
- Skills within Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (XD essential) and design systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good planning skills
- Confident with managing clients, both on the phone, Teams, and face-to-face
The successful candidate will be able to prove solid experience within the field, with an impressive portfolio and minimum of 2 -3 years of experience in Website Development using WordPress.
