Loom Digital is an ambitious and growing, B Corp certified, digital marketing agency with big plans for the next three years, and we’re looking for a forward-thinking Head of SEO and Organic to help us get there.
This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we enter a new 3 year growth plan. Our client base is solid and varied, encompassing a diverse range of sectors, including both B2B and e-commerce. You’ll play a key role in shaping our organic search offering, driving innovation, and leading the way in how we deliver SEO in a rapidly changing search landscape — from traditional search engines to gaining visibility across emerging AI and GEO platforms.
We’re looking for someone who’s not just passionate about SEO, but also ready to influence how it evolves — both within Loom and for our clients.
The Role
As our Head of SEO and Organic, you’ll lead the development and delivery of impactful SEO and GEO strategies that drive real business results for our clients. You’ll oversee and inspire a small team initially, with the opportunity to grow and shape that team over the coming years.
Reporting into a member of our Senior Leadership Team, this role is perfect for someone with strong strategic and leadership experience who’s ready to step up, take ownership, and help define the future of organic search at Loom.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic SEO Leadership
- Onboard new clients, immersing yourself in their needs and developing a tailored organic strategy that aims to deliver visibility for their audiences
- Develop and implement high-impact, long-term SEO strategies tailored to client goals and industry opportunities. Expect a combination of delivery and delegation.
- Oversee and support keyword research and competitor analysis across diverse sectors and niche markets. Collaborate and inform a content strategy.
- Ensure consistent delivery of SEO campaigns that meet Loom’s quality standards and achieve measurable results.
- Lead intent-based and large-scale keyword research projects, and guide team members through complex or specialist areas.
- Take full ownership of campaign performance and client results.
Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Champion the role of SEO and GEO internally and externally, positioning Loom as a leader in the organic space.
- Keep up-to-date with industry changes and new opportunities for innovation and future-proofing our service
- Continuously evolve our organic offering, keeping it relevant in an era of AI and evolving search behaviours.
- Define and communicate Loom’s SEO value proposition, both to clients and the internal team.
- Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools for technical SEO and scalable content creation — while ensuring human expertise remains at the core of impactful, business-critical work.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Build trusted relationships with clients and help them understand the value of SEO.
- Secure buy-in from key client stakeholders by clearly communicating strategies, insights, and results.
- Collaborate closely with Loom’s technical SEO specialist, content writers, and other organic team members to deliver seamless, multi-channel campaigns.

- Manage and mentor one SEO team member, fostering a culture of collaboration, commitment and high performance. Provide quality assurance to ensure Loom is delivering to the highest standards. Opportunity to grow the team over time.
- Shape and refine internal processes to ensure efficiency and excellence in delivery.
- Closely collaborate with Head of Content and team to achieve alignment, shape our service and deliver the most impactful service to clients
- Support new business efforts by contributing to proposals, pitches, and strategic recommendations.
Required skills
You’ll bring a mix of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and leadership confidence. You’re comfortable with change and see innovation as an opportunity — not a threat.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven track record of delivering successful SEO strategies and measurable business outcomes.
- Comprehensive understanding of SEO, from technical foundations to content and off-site optimisation. Experience in website migrations, new websites and wider transformation projects.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing a team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Agency experience (or experience managing multiple campaigns simultaneously). An ideal candidate is likely to have at least 5 years SEO experience.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving growth — for clients, for the business, and for your own career.
- Enthusiasm for AI and emerging trends in search and digital marketing.

- Experience with non-Google search platforms (e.g. LLMs, TikTok, Reddit etc)
