About the role
We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer who will work across our team to deliver compelling and engaging websites that are remarkable.
Creativity is just the start. We’re looking for someone with a commercial savvy; able to translate strategy into clear, compelling user interface designs that increase engagement and conversions.
- Work with UX designers to build storyboards, site maps, and conceptual designs
- Conduct user research to inform UI layout decisions
- Design dropdown menus, site layouts, and other aesthetic elements
- Track human-computer interactions created by particular UI designs
- Present concepts and defend design choices during creative and client reviews
- Analyze consumer responses and monitor website traffic to inform revisions and improved design
- Develop visual design and layout best practices
Your responsibilities
- Develop compelling website designs for our B2B clients from concept through to completion.
- Presenting concepts and defending design choices during creative and client reviews and meetings.
- Ensuring that UI and UX decisions deliver on the project and client objectives.
- Maintaining best practice and ensuring that all design output conforms to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Improving our internal design process and boilerplate frameworks to drive best practice and reduce inefficiency.

Commitment
- This is a full-time permanent role on a hybrid basis. We would expect you to be able to attend our town hall meeting once a month at Origin Workspace in Bristol. Ideally, you would be able to come into the office once or twice a week but this is not essential.
- Overtime may be required to ensure that projects are delivered on time but this is rare.
Minimum requirements
- Expert competence using Figma and XD. You will be able to produce functional prototypes that can be demonstrated to clients and development teams.
- Excellent communication skills, able to competently explain and defend work based on commercial rationale.
- Attention to detail is absolutely critical. Our development team look to our designers as arbiters in good taste and high quality!
- Some experience in using page-builder tools like Elementor or Webflow is desired but not essential.
- A good awareness of technical SEO and the approach to creating performant websites.
- Fluent in English, equivalent to IELTS 8 or higher.
