Umbraco Spark 2026 — Conference Overview

Umbraco Spark is a one‑day developer‑centric innovation conference taking place on Friday, 20  March  2026 in Bristol, UK. It brings together Umbraco enthusiasts, developers, MVPs and community contributors for in‑depth technical talks, hands‑on demos and forward‑thinking sessions on the latest in the Umbraco CMS, .NET ecosystem and broader digital ecosystem. The main track spans talks — from upgrading strategies and search implementation to cloud scalability, rich text tooling and future platform features — all in one cohesive programme.

Alongside the main conference track, there’s an extended hackathon and Package Jam where teams can work on contribution ideas, followed by the Package Awards at the end of the day. There are also social and community events, including a pre‑party, a social morning 5 K run, and an after‑party to network and unwind.

🗓️ What to Expect & Rough Schedule

Thursday, 19  March  2026

  • 09:30 AM – 6:00 PM: Pre‑Spark Umbraco Hackathon & Package Jam — A full‑day community coding session open to everyone interested in contributing to Umbraco or working on packages. Sign up here.
  • 7:00 PM: Pre‑party — Casual meetup at a game bar in Bristol with ping pong, bowling, karaoke, food and drinks before the main event day.

Friday, 20  March  2026

  • 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM: Pre‑Spark Harbour Run — A relaxed ~5 K run along Bristol’s Harbourside to kick off the day.
  • 8:30 AM: Registration Opens — Coffee and pastries available, get set up before the conference starts.
  • 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM: Main Conference Day — One main track of technical talks, lightning talks and demos from Umbraco HQ, community MVPs and industry experts.
  • Package Awards — Recognising standout contributions from the Package Jam.
  • 6:00 PM Onwards: After‑party — Chill with attendees with food and drinks.

Practical on‑site comforts include lunch, refreshments, a free cloakroom, and quiet/ multi‑faith rooms to support attendee wellbeing.
