CreativeMornings is a free monthly breakfast talk for Bristol’s creative community, part of a global network of chapters bringing people together over coffee, conversation and big ideas. This month’s theme is Altitude, and we’re joined by Sean Cornell of Wonderment.
The Joyconomy is here. It’s time we all got serious about joy.
In this personal and joy-fuelled talk, Sean explores why the Joyconomy has arrived and why we should all take joy a whole lot more seriously. From school calligraphy champion to founder of Wonderment, the joyful branding agency, he’s spent nearly thirty years discovering what happens when craft meets a little mischief.
Now he invites us to gain some altitude above our daily doings and ask: how does what we do actually make people feel, including ourselves?
Expect a little perspective, a little participation and a whole heap of joy, plus a chance to turn the mundane into something magical. You’ll leave ready to create wondermoments in your business that give people a reason to choose you, and keep coming back for more.
Ever since winning the Haselmere Heights Calligraphy Competition aged 11, Sean was destined for a life in the creative industry. Over a career of more than 30 years, he’s led creative teams at some of the world’s leading branding agencies, and is now founder and Brand Enjoyneer at Wonderment® (the joyful branding agency).
Nicknamed the “Willy Wonka of branding”, Sean helps fundamental businesses transform into wondermental brands: brands that get noticed, remembered and chosen. He blends bold strategy with playful creativity, believing that joy, done on purpose, makes companies more effective by making their brands more affective.
A rare mix of monk and maverick, Sean doesn’t chase trends. He prefers shaping what comes next. His motto says it all: “Whoever has the most fun, wins.
Save your seat! What is CreativeMornings?I host CreativeMornings Bristol, which involves getting creatives out of bed before nine. I also make films about people and their passions.
