RTS West of England and the Film and TV Charity have teamed up to offer an event to support the freelance community.
The latest research from the Film and TV Charity (in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam’s Centre for Loneliness Studies) reveals a deep link between loneliness and poor mental health in the film and TV industry.
With Deloitte and DCMS estimating the industry’s mental health costs at up to £400m a year, loneliness is likely a major contributor. Freelancers, particularly affected by project-based work and demanding schedules, face heightened isolation – a challenge that’s becoming increasingly relevant as freelancing expands across the wider workforce.
