Want to write copy that actually converts? This is for you.

Ever feel like normal marketing advice doesn’t apply to you because you’re marketing something that’s not very… sexy?

It’s easy when you’re selling very technical products to feel like a lot of standard marketing advice doesn’t really fit your remit.

If this sounds familiar, you should come along to the Business as Unusual Webinar this month with the fantastic Andi Jarvis. He’s going to teach us how to write copy that converts the personas that you’re targeting.

Like every Business as Unusual, you’ll have a chance to ask any questions you’ve got for Andi in the Q&A at the end.

This webinar is FREE, you just need to register to secure your place.

This fun and fabulous evening will be introduced by Sisterhood founder, Joanna Duncan and include thoughts from motivational speaker and local businesswoman, Laura Janes. And of course, no evening would be complete without pizza from one of our best local producers and a glass of fizz to help wash it down. There will also be tea, coffee and water on tap throughout the evening.

You’re sure to leave this event feeling inspired, empowered and glad to have spent a few happy hours as part of a brilliant and supportive community. So don’t let this one slip away – buy your ticket now for £25.

Our first Walk & Talk of 2022 will be on Friday 4th March!

Last September we trialled our first BCI Walk & Talk session in the Mendips, and it was a great opportunity for members to make some new connections within the industry whilst getting some much needed fresh air. As the world opened up once again, we were keen to offer our members more creative ways of networking, so we teamed up with Outside to organise these sessions with groups of 12 people (similar to our members’ lunches) who are keen to don their walking boots and explore the stunning countryside around Bristol and Bath.

Our members’ lunches have long been a firm fixture in the BCI events calendar – the perfect opportunity for a small group of members to connect and exchange information about their businesses.  That said, these sessions are way more than just pitching; they offer a shared space for connecting with your peers to share successes and discuss challenges. These lunch sessions are continuing as normal every month throughout the year, but we’re currently getting more dates in the diary for the walking sessions too, starting from different locations around the area on a quarterly basis.

The location for this Walk & Talk will be the Woolmers and Cleeve Hill circular walk, which is roughly a 9km loop. We’ll meet in the car park along Cleeve Hill Road (BS49 4PH) ready to leave at 9.30am.

Over the course of a 3 hour circular walk, you’ll get to spend 10-15 minutes chatting to each of your fellow walkers. No agenda as such, just clear open space for thinking, connecting, sharing experiences and exploring possibilities.  The BCI team will be joining the group too so it’s a great chance to chat to them about getting the most out of your BCI membership.

This event is exclusively for BCI members and registration is required in advance via the button below. For those who are also members of Outside, this event is free of charge. If you’re not a member of Outside, the cost will be £10+VAT.
