This free event from Bristol-based charity, BRACE Dementia Research, aims to get everyone talking about dementia and help tackle the stigma around it. Whether you are currently caring for someone with dementia, experiencing it first-hand, or just want to develop your understanding for the future, this event is for you.
Taking place at the end of World Alzheimer’s Month, the event brings together experts and organisations offering wide-ranging advice and support. Exhibitors include dementia medics, specialist solicitors and dementia care experts.
You can also join family and dementia friendly art sessions from Bristol art gallery RWA, and take part in a fun sports activity with ReEngage, a charity supporting older people to be heard, valued and engaged. There’s even a giant inflatable brain dome to step inside and explore.
The event is at the Paintworks events space from 10am-5pm on 30 September. Anyone attending can also enjoy 10% off food at Bocabar.
