Join Professor Mario Vafeas and Dr Ed Little (Bristol Business School) who will be sharing and discussing research recently completed on employee engagement. The research investigates a phenomenon called alienation which can lead to reduced job performance and negative wellbeing.

Who is this workshop for:

Anyone with leadership or people management responsibilities
Anyone with customer experience responsibilities given the relationship between employee motivation and customer experience/satisfaction
Any agency considering the possible transition to employee ownership would also find it very relevant.

What will the workshop cover:

The causes and consequences of employee alienation
How it varies within and between businesses
How firms could reduce alienation by adopting some of the practices found in employee-owned firms
How some employee-owned practices can lead to tensions if not managed correctly.

presentation of the research findings
interactive workshops
panel discussion to address issues emerging from the workshops.
