Bristol Surf Cinema celebrates story-first surf filmmaking with this special screening of Point of Change, a powerful documentary by director Rebecca Coley.
Point of Change is the story of an island community changed forever by the discovery of a ‘perfect wave’ in the 1970’s, chronicling the first surfers to ‘discover’ this Point at Nias Island, Indonesia, and the unintended dramatic consequences that followed. This compelling documentary feature film examines the impact of tourism on a remote comunity and is told through a unique blend of previously unseen Super 8 archive, contemporary interview and beautiful animation, with an original score composed by academy-award winning composer Stephen Warbeck, and featuring exclusive new music tracks by Paul Oakenfold and local musicians.
Prior to the screening of Point of Change, Bristol Surf Cinema will be showing 2 homegrown UK short surf films, showcasing a diverse range of stories and styles from Bristol creatives.
Bristol Surf Cinema is a platform dedicated to championing inclusive, story-driven surf films — with representation, community, and creativity at its core. Stick around after the screening for drinks and conversation with fellow surf and film lovers.

Every B2B founder or sales leader hits the same wall eventually. In the early days, growth feels personal. You’re the one sending the emails, working the deals, closing on gut instinct and sheer willpower. But then the cracks show up. The pipeline swings from feast to famine. Your best salesperson leaves, and half your revenue walks out the door with them. Your marketing feels like random acts of hope. You’ve got tools, tactics, a CRM full of contacts. But no system. No engine. Just effort.
In this talk, we’re bringing together two frameworks he’s been refining for years. Demand That Scales and Systems That Sell, into one blueprint that will help you take control over the way you go to market. We’re going to cover the full journey. How to generate consistent, predictable demand using LinkedIn and email, without relying on referrals, random inbound, or hoping your content goes viral.
