Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Paid Media, you will be a senior strategic mind working across a variety of accounts and multiple verticals, engaging with clients who have layered commercial objectives, multiple audiences and varied sales cycles. You’ll own the strategy on those accounts, and the commercial outcome it drives.
The thinking will be yours. That means interrogating a client’s commercial model until you understand what genuinely moves profit, then building a paid strategy around that rather than around channel convention. With expert delivery across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, biddable strategy across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit and Pinterest, and programmatic through DSPs, StackAdapt preferred.
You’ll take full ownership of the client relationship at a senior level: leading QBRs, presenting strategy so senior stakeholders back it, pacing significant monthly budgets and identifying where Loom can do more. Commercial confidence matters here as much as technical depth. Loom is well known for its strong client partnerships, with a Net Promoter Score of 80 against an industry average of 59.
New platforms arrive constantly – you’ll know which ones deserve a client’s budget and which don’t; innovation here means finding a client an edge, not chasing every release.
You’ll mentor and line manage within the pod, acting as the escalation point when something technical breaks and the development lead when someone is ready to grow. You’ll work closely with our Organic and Multichannel pods – paid never runs as a separate strand.
You are the person clients turn to when the answer isn’t obvious and the person the team turns to when they’re stuck.

About Loom Digital
Loom Digital is a B Corp certified, people-led digital marketing agency, Bristol-based since 2009, with a team of 23 experts and 1% of profits donated every year. We’re at the start of a new three-year growth plan, with a renewed audience, positioning and offering and Paid Media is central to it, and so is this role.
We work in specialist pods built around each client, so the strategy sits with the people doing the work, not a layer above them. As Senior Paid Media Manager, you’ll take that same ownership at a senior level: leading overarching paid media strategy, driving innovation, and shaping how we deliver performance media in a rapidly changing landscape.
Our client base is solid and varied, spanning both B2B and e-commerce across a diverse range of sectors. You’ll be the strategic driving force for our high-tier clients; scaling traditional search and social channels while pushing visibility into emerging platforms. Beyond the day-to-day, you’ll mentor junior team members and proactively drive commercial growth, both within Loom and for our clients.
Required skills
Essential:
- 6+ years hands-on paid media experience, at least some of it agency-side
- A track record of owning strategy for lead generation, ecommerce and B2B accounts
- Proven line management experience, including 1:1s, objectives and development conversations
- Demonstrable experience designing and delivering training or upskilling to a team
- Expert level across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta and LinkedIn
- Advanced tracking and analytics capability across GA4, GTM and Looker Studio
- Confident and credible in front of senior client stakeholders
- Commercially literate, comfortable with budgets, forecasting and margin conversations
- A solid understanding of AI in marketing and hands-on experience applying it, with the judgement to know where it adds value and where it does not
Nice to have:
- Programmatic delivery through StackAdapt or a comparable DSP
- Experience with complex accounts e.g. multi-market accounts, long lead times, regulated industries
- A point of view on measurement in a privacy-constrained world
- Experience building agents or automations that have taken real work off a team
- Public contribution to the paid media community, speaking, writing or teaching
How you work:
- Autonomous, not solo: You set the direction rather than waiting to be handed it, and you bring the team with you as you go.
- Generous with knowledge: The best people here make everyone around them better.
- Comfortable with complexity: You find the tangle interesting rather than annoying.
- Excited by AI, careful with it: You want to find where it genuinely improves the work, and you are clear-eyed about client data and where it must not go.
