Who should apply?

We are looking for a Junior Web Developer to join our development team, working within our ad hoc, support and maintenance function.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone at the start of their development career who wants to build hands-on experience working with WordPress. You might already have some experience working within an agency or development environment, or you might be largely self-taught with personal projects that demonstrate a real passion for WordPress and web development.

Either way, we’re interested in what you can do, how you approach problems and, importantly, your appetite to learn.

You’ll be working across a large and varied portfolio of WordPress websites, helping our team deliver ad hoc client requests, website improvements, bug fixes and ongoing maintenance. You’ll also gain exposure to the technical side of managing websites, including hosting, updates, security, performance and keeping websites healthy.

You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. You’ll work alongside experienced developers who can provide guidance and support as you develop your skills and gradually take on more responsibility.

You should enjoy the buzz and fast pace of a growing agency, bringing a sense of fun to work. Our team is growing, our clients are growing; Squarebird is an exciting place to start and develop your career.
