We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our brilliant team

We are introducing a brand new, pivotal role at Varn for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager who is looking for a rewarding career without sacrificing work-life balance.

We envision this as a four-day-a-week position, but we are entirely open to flexible structures that suit your life, such as a five-hour workday from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

This is an exciting new role we are introducing in our growing agency, and your overarching mission is to manage, coordinate, orchestrate, and execute an exceptionally effective, multi-channel marketing engine for Varn and Varn Health. Managing our internal marketing team/resource and collaborating with our wider agency specialists, you will be the conductor of our “marketing machine” turning our high-level agency growth pillars into impactful and high-performing marketing activity.

Your role is to oversee and ensure every marketing activity and campaign is on-brand, happens as planned, and reinforces our brand story and authority in our industry.

What you’ll be doing

You are our new ‘marketing machine’ conductor. You’ll ensure our agency growth pillars and strategies are translated into an actionable monthly marketing plan and content, ensuring all activity happens as planned, on-message, and on-time.

Key responsibilities

  • Marketing plan delivery: Own the marketing roadmap from start to finish. Leading our small internal marketing team and resource, as well as external freelancers, to drive forward our marketing plan across all touchpoints. This may include thought leadership content curation, email newsletter campaigns, our website content, and digital PR. You will oversee our primary social channels, such as using LinkedIn to showcase our search and data expertise, and Instagram to amplify Varn’s internal culture and employer brand.
  • Team collaboration: Partner with our expert team to translate complex SEO/GEO and data concepts into engaging storytelling. You will work closely with our technical specialists to help translate complex SEO/GEO and data concepts into expert content for socials, white papers, blogs and videos, as well as generating powerful new ideas and lead-generating marketing activity. For Varn Health, collaborate closely with our London-based medical content team to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Marketing funnel ownership: Work collaboratively with our team to manage the process of tracking and reporting on how our content, newsletters, and partnerships convert into high-intent enquiries, turning these into helpful insights, to manage ongoing lead-nurture journeys.

Team collaboration & direction:

  • You will work in close partnership with our Comms Director, receiving dedicated, high-level strategic mentorship as you settle in. This unique, supportive setup ensures you will be fully empowered, integrated, and set up to succeed from day one.
  • You will line-manage our internal marketing team/ resources and external freelancers, actively leading and directing our agency brand visibility, to help execute a forward-planned, marketing pipeline of activity.
  • You’ll oversee and manage the process of arming our team with a “toolkit” of high-impact pitch decks, case studies, and lead generating marketing collateral.
  • You will act as a critical delivery partner to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), using your drive and passion to get key agency marketing and content projects over the line with maximum impact.
