Encounters is the UK’s premier international festival for short film and animation. It’s a showcase of incredible new films from around the world, revealing exciting new voices and creative approaches to storytelling. It’s where audiences discover brilliant new talent while emerging artists find the opportunities and connections to take their work to the next level.
To round off the first day of the festival, come and join us at Bambalan where you’ll be able to mix with others from the screen industry community. Whether you use it as an opportunity to catch up with old friends or a chance to meet some new faces, we’d love to see you.
The event will include a fireside chat with Sophie Freeman from the Film & TV Charity, producer and UK Producers Roundtable founder Sophie Reynolds and a representative from Nine Tree Studios discussing transitioning roles, skills, wellbeing, equality, and sustainability in the screen industries.
This event is open to anyone working or who has worked in the screen industries. It will allow you to widen networks, make new connections, discuss common problems, and discover potential opportunities for collaboration going forward. You’ll be sure to head home with a new contact!
Attendance is free but registration is required. The bar at Bambalan will be open to purchase drinks throughout the evening.
Bristol Creative Industries is the membership network that supports the region's creative sector to learn, grow and connect, driven by the common belief that we can achieve more collectively than alone.
