SUMMARY
Sitting within the Client Services team, working closely with the agency’s Creative, Production, PR & Comms & Influencer teams, this role is responsible for the commercial success and ongoing growth and development of key existing client accounts within the agency, as well as supporting the rest of the Client Services team, CEO and business partners in bringing in new business and building strategic relationships with senior clients. This role involves regular travel to meet with clients and lead in-person client meetings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client relations
- Fostering and growing client accounts by developing deep client company and product knowledge and building strong professional relationships with key clients, acting as a strategic partner and problem solver
- Identifying new workstreams for the agency, through regular strategy meetings with clients, aligning agency support with client business objectives and pitching appropriate campaign ideas for delivery
- Producing client reports on campaign performance, in partnership with agency teams, to evidence effectiveness and value of Agency work
- Reporting on key financial and client performance to the agency’s leadership team with monthly, quarterly and annual reports on client activity & profitability
- Ensuring client work gets well briefed in and can be completed to deadline, within budget and to a high specification, adhering to client brand guidelines
- Ensuring best practice client services are delivered across all accounts, measured by retained work, repeat business and healthy, growing/diversifying accounts
- Undertaking customer satisfaction surveys to get feedback on what we do well and where we can improve further as an agency partner
Commercial
- Developing and delivering strategic client plans to meet annual revenue expectations against key client accounts, and meeting planned margin targets for the agency
- Proactively identifying new business leads and opportunities to help grow our client base
- Leading and spearheading the process of pitching fresh and innovative ideas to new and existing clients
- Negotiating estimates and agency fees with client decision makers, including suppliers and partners, ensuring agency margins are maintained
- Understanding the value proposition of Diva’s full range of services
- Commercially astute at briefing work, ensuring jobs can be accurately scoped and managed to meet profit targets
- Ability to forecast client revenue accurately and advise on revenue expectations in weekly pipeline meetings
Department and Team Contributions
- Managing or mentoring junior team members to ensure high quality delivery of creative campaigns
- Manage and support employee performance where appropriate through regular 1-2-1 reviews, appraisals, training and coaching
- Maintaining a detailed awareness of relevant market trends and developments in the wider advertising and communications industry. This includes but is not limited to video game releases, industry events and announcements
- Working both independently and collaboratively, delegating work as appropriate to Senior Account Managers, PR teams, other departments or creative studio members
- Delegating upwards for senior strategic/stakeholder support
- Ensuring timelines and deadlines are met across the team
- Line-manage and/or mentor Account Executives, Account Managers, and Senior Account Managers in the Client team, fostering their growth and skill development, supporting their own line management responsibilities
- Promote continual improvement and a culture of excellence and accountability through excellence of work, improved working practices and practical expertise
- Drive the development and improvement of the Client Services internal processes
Required skills
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A senior client services professional with relevant experience in leading teams and business growth
- Experienced in delivering campaigns involving high volume asset production, UA content or multi-territory localisation
- Commercially aware with a proven track record in client development, owning high level client relationships, growing accounts, and winning new business
- Experienced in creating and delivering pitches with senior agency leadership and senior creatives
- Experienced in delivering financial reports and managing revenue pipeline
- An inspirational and empathetic leader with excellent communication skills and previous experience of developing and nurturing a team
- An adaptable and flexible team player, able to collaborate with others and act in the best interest of the business and its people
- Highly creative person who can map ideas to meet client objectives
- Great communicator who can confidently represent the agency in client meetings
