Too busy to work on your business? Smart Scale has just two places left.

30th October 2026

Running a creative technology business leaves precious little time to think about where it’s going.

Or where you want it to go.

SETsquared Bath’s fully funded Smart Scale programme gives founders the chance to step back, find fresh perspectives and work out what comes next.

Just two places remain.

When was the last time you had a proper opportunity to think about your business, rather than simply keep it going?

To reflect on what you’ve built, what you’re enjoying, what’s frustrating you and what you might want to do differently?

Running a creative business can be hugely rewarding. It can also be exhausting. There’s always another project, another client, another decision that needs making. And somewhere amongst all that, it’s easy to lose sight of why you started in the first place.

That’s part of what Smart Scale is about.

Our first cohort brought together a group of founders and business leaders, achieving 93% programme satisfaction and a Net Promoter Score of 90. Participants valued the opportunity to challenge their thinking, learn from experienced specialists and, importantly, spend time with other business owners facing similar decisions.

One participant described it as:

“Brilliant programme, focusing on scaling, rather than start up. Amazing speakers, fantastic sessions, very insightful and inspiring.”

What does the next version of your business look like?

Growth doesn’t necessarily mean more people, more customers or more revenue. It might mean better systems, a different business model, more profitable work or simply having more freedom to focus on the things you enjoy.

But those changes rarely happen by accident.

Smart Scale: Creative Technology offers five dedicated days to step away from the daily demands of your business and work out what comes next.

You’ll explore strategy, customers, leadership and commercial opportunities alongside other founders and experienced specialists. You’ll have the chance to test ideas, question assumptions and return to your business with a clearer sense of direction.

We know five days is a significant commitment. That’s precisely why it can be so valuable.

Just two places remaining

We’re looking for founders and senior leaders of established creative technology businesses who have customers, commercial traction and an appetite to do things differently.

The programme is fully funded and runs on Wednesdays from 18 November to 16 December 2026 at the University of Bath Innovation Centre.

With just two places left, we’d particularly welcome applications from the Bristol Creative Industries community.

You don’t need a pitch deck or lengthy application. Just tell us a little about your business and where you’d like to take it.
