I love having a camera in my hands, digging in its settings, looking at it, just doing everything that you possibly can with a camera. Once you get to know the camera on that level, there is absolutely nothing you can not do with it. I am a videographer and a photographer, with experince being on a film set as a runner, camera assistant and sound recordist.
I also edit, one of my earliest works were fan edits of a k-pop group Blackpink. With time editing becae easier and easier, making me realize just how much freedom this activity provides. When I picked up the camera and finally decided to edit my own videos, me as an editor became ajudgemental towards me as a camera person. I guess “fix it in post” applies even when you are the one fixing it.
Fortunately, the thing I enjoy the most is helping people out. I believe that all the hard-work and challenge that you go through to help someone out is always worth it at the end, because even if a little, you changed that person’s life.
