Member Bio

Paradigm Post is an award-winning studio formed by a pair of experienced freelance Sound Designers – Owen Peters and Owen Shirley – to provide flexible and collaborative audio post-production services.

With decades of experience between them, across all forms of media, they have delivered many hours of sound for broadcast and streaming series, as well as feature-length films, podcasts and immersive installations.

Members of RTS, the Association of Motion Picture Sound, Motion Picture Sound Editors, and BAFTA Connect, their Emmy award-winning work includes ‘Island of the Sea Wolves’ for Netflix in 2023 and ‘Earthsounds’ for Apple TV in 2025; both recognised for ‘Outstanding Sound’. They have also won a Bafta TV Craft Award in 2026, for their Sound Design and Mixing roles within the ‘Childrens Craft Team’ for ‘The Very Small Creatures’

Working to the highest professional standards, ‘the Owens’ have collectively earned hundreds of credits collaborating with many producers, directors and post-production facilities. They have worked on content for BBC, Discovery, Disney, National Geographic, Netflix, Sky, ITV, Channel and Apple TV, as well as global film and online markets.

Owen Peters

Owen Peters is a widely-experienced and award-winning Sound Editor with credits spanning decades across all forms of media. 

Having trained and earned a Masters qualification in Sound Post-Production at the prestigious National Film and Television School – following an extensive academic education in film history and production – he began his career working on High-End Television Dramas in Cardiff. Following a move to Bristol, Owen has broadened his professional experience to include sound for feature films, animation series, 'blue-chip' natural history productions, factual series and international branded content. He has worked as a sound designer, re-recording mixer, foley recordist and as a Sound Editor – winning a Bafta and two Emmy awards for his work. In his free time Owen is an avid field recordist, using his own professional equipment to capture sounds across the world that are added to a unique and ever-growing sound library. He is always keen to record bespoke sounds for projects.

Owen Shirley

Owen Shirley is an award-winning Sound Editor based in Bristol, who has been working freelance in HETV for over ten years. His credits include blue-chip natural history, documentary and drama features, as well as animations, installations and branded content. Collaboration and Storytelling are at the heart of every project that Owen is involved with. He is passionate about engaging with content creators to support and elevate their stories through sound.
